Getting there

From Haneda · by air

Limousine bus from Kagoshima Airport to the center (~40 min). No car.

From Fukuoka · by train

Shinkansen to Kagoshima-Chuo (~1h20m), then walk to your hotel.

Day 1

Straight to the volcano

    Drop bags, head to the ferry

    Stay central; the Sakurajima ferry is a short tram + walk away.

  2. 16:30

    Sakurajima & Yunohira view

    15-minute crossing, then the best lookout over the bay.

  3. 19:00

    Tenmonkan dinner

    Black pork and shirokuma — the two flavors you must not miss.

Day 2

A calm morning, then go

    Sengan-en garden

    Sakurajima across the water, tea, and a slow walk.
